Latest Job Vacancy March 2011 - SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER at TNB Energy Services Sdn. Bhd.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the largest electricity utility in Malaysia, listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia serving a customer base of over 7 millions in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. TNB plays an integral role in the economic and social prosperity of the country by providing reliable and efficient services.

We wish to invite suitable qualified candidates to fill up the following positions in TNB. 

Responsibility: 

The successful incumbents will be responsible for civil works inclusive of structural and engineering design of Hybrid Electricity Generation, Mini Hydro Station and their related maintainance works. Other responsibilities include :

·         Site Survey and selection

·         Liaison with local authority on site acquisition and other related matters

·         Liaison with Consultant

·         Consult with management team concerning operational and design requirement

·         Coordinate design and planning work in consultation with project manager

·         Able to plan, organize, oversee and manage construction project towards achieving technical goal and schedules

·         Checking and organizing technical team to conduct site survey/testing

·         Checking draft tender / evaluate tender on civil related work

·         Able to work closely with project manager and prepare progress report periodically to project director.

·         Conversant in with building by laws and able to liaise with local authority

·         Assist, monitor and coordinate pre, during and post-construction on civil, M&E related works

The prospective candidate should:

·         Possess a good degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering/Management from recognized higher learning institutions and certified by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA)/ Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

·         Have a minimum of 7 -10  years of experience with a civil engineering firm, and/or property development or construction company

·         Have a minimum of 5 years experience in the design and construction of public infrastructure and land development projects.

·         Knowledge and experience in project management, control and management is a must.

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Able to work with stakeholders, municipal officials, contractors, consultants, service providers and developers

·         Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Projects is required, experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, scheduling systems, etc.

·         Able to work independently and with strong self motivation
