Web Designer

Job summary

• To produce graphics, visual elements and assets for our online channels such as website, mobile and social media.
• To communicate, express and illustrate through work produced – such as banners, icons and infographics - an enticing selling message.
• To meet the revenue target of e-Commerce department and eventually Malaysia Airlines’ KPI through click-to-book conversion from the assets.
• To preserve the Malaysia Airlines premium brand with strong online presence.
• To stay abreast of and maintain a deep knowledge of web, mobile and social media trends, strategies, tools, best practices, etc

Requirements

• Degree in Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia or Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
• At least 3 years of working experience in web design and exposure in sales and marketing, e-commerce, and project management.
• Experience in interactive design with strong competency in optimised and web standards compliant front-end development.
• Work experience in airline, travel and/or online industry with marketing and sales exposure is an advantage.
• Interest in and familiarity with web analytics, user experience, e-commerce and other current web-based technologies.
• Strong design skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver).
• Airline, engagement process know-how is a plus.
• With project management, campaign management, basic IT/HTML and presentation skills preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Ability to think independently and to work on own initiative.
• Self-starter and innovative thinker.
• High standards of online ethical conduct and observant in maintaining a 5-star brand.
• Sense of urgency and responsibility, especially on time-constrained project that requires work outside office hours.
